Tom Henricks

Astronaut

Tom Henricks is president of Henricks Enterprises, a service-disabled veteran owned small business providing management and engineering services to the global aerospace industry.  He was recently a consultant to Leonardo DRS for their pursuit of the multi-billion dollar program to replace the USAF T-38 trainer aircraft. His was previously a partner with the Newport Board Group and engaged with Corporate Aviation Analysis & Planning, Inc. providing strategic planning and transactional services in business aviation. Tom has also served as president of McGraw-Hill’s Aviation Week, the leading information and media business serving the aerospace industry; and, held executive positions at Bell Helicopter, Textron Inc, and The Timken Company.

As a NASA astronaut, Henricks flew four successful Space Shuttle missions as commander/pilot spending forty days in Earth orbit deploying two major satellites and conducting science experiments. His crews included astronauts from Canada, France, Germany, Italy, and Spain.

Tom is a retired U.S. Air Force (USAF) colonel having served as a commander, F-16 test pilot, and F-4 fighter pilot.  He is a graduate of the USAF Fighter Weapons School “Top Gun”, USAF Test Pilot School, and USAF Academy. He received a MPA from Golden Gate University.
