Sandy Dochen is the Manager of Corporate Citizenship and Corporate Affairs for IBM, covering Texas, Arkansas and Louisiana. He is responsible for implementing a variety of programs that utilize IBM's innovative technology to assist schools, cities and community organizations, while encouraging IBMers to contribute their talents in the community. He has helped to deliver unique IBM and consulting grants by with partnering with multiple governmental and non-profit organizations on capacity building and planning.
He has been engaged with community and statewide education advocacy and workforce development organizations for several years. Besides the Science Mill, Dochen serves on the board of the Texas Association of Business, Workforce Solutions Capital Area, advisory board of KUT/KUTX and on the executive committee of Shalom Austin/Jewish Federation of Austin. Sandy has been recognized for his leadership by such organizations as Austin Partners in Education, First Tee of Austin and the Jewish Federation.
Prior to joining IBM 18 years ago, Dochen was a vice president of government relations and education partnerships at the Austin Chamber of Commerce and drove public, government and media relations in two technology organizations. Previously, Dochen served in the Austin and Washington, D.C. offices of U.S. Rep. Jake Pickle.
