KAY NEWSOME

Kay joined the Science Mill in June 2026 and serves as STEM Education Specialist. She brings 25 years of teaching and curriculum development experience to our team. Kay also has 20 years industrial experience working as a chemical researcher and supply chain manager.  Kay holds bachelor's degrees in chemistry and education from Mercer University in Georgia, as well as master’s degrees in business from University of Houston and science curriculum development from Illinois State University.  She is passionate about STEM education, especially engaging girls into STEM careers. When not at work, Kay enjoys spending time with her daughter and her 6 corgis. In her spare time, she is also a resin artist.
