Hilda Kruml

Hilda joined the Science Mill team in August 2021 and currently serves as Director of Business & Finance. In this role, she oversees the organization’s financial and administrative functions, including finance and accounting, human resources, and benefits administration, while supporting the overall strategic and day-to-day operations of the Mill.

During a leadership transition, Hilda was asked to step into the role of Interim Chief Operating Officer following the departure of the Science Mill’s CEO. In that capacity, she provided day-to-day leadership for the museum, working closely with the Board of Directors and senior leadership team to oversee operations, staff, finances, and organizational priorities while ensuring continuity during the transition. Her experience at the Science Mill spans both financial and operational leadership, giving her a broad understanding of the organization and the business functions necessary to support its mission and long-term sustainability.

Hilda holds an MBA in Accounting and Finance, as well as a B.A. in Business Administration and Accounting. She brings extensive accounting and financial experience across a wide range of industries, providing a broad and practical perspective to her leadership at the Science Mill.

Outside of the Science Mill, Hilda enjoys spending time with her family and is deeply committed to community service. She is an active volunteer and leader with the American Legion Auxiliary and is also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
