What’s that in the waves? It’s getting closer…it’s SHARK WEEK, circling the Science Mill July 28-August 1! Fans of the fin will find shark activities throughout the museum and Science & Art Park: 

• SciDive 4D virtual reef experience returns for a limited time! Put on SciDive’s immersive VR headset and use your arms to control the full-body motion table; suddenly, you’re a sea turtle, exploring your coral reef home—but look out for sharks! (Limited spots daily; sign up at the front desk)

• Hunt for shark teeth in the Fossil Dig

• Learn how Matt “The Shark Guy” Marchant gets sharks to say “cheese!” in an exhibit of his amazing underwater photos — live presentations at 11am and 1pm on Saturday, July 31 only

• Catch a video chat with author Tammi Sauer about her beloved Nugget and Fang series and snap up signed copies of her book in the Science Store (available in store only)

• Watch Great White Sharks 3D on the big screen in our Theater

• Sink your teeth into Shark Trivia

• Find a shark friend with “Where in the Ocean Am I?”: Pick out a shark card and scan it to learn more about your shark. Add a shark fin sticker to our giant map to show where your shark lives.

• Pose with a life-size replica of a megalodon’s jaws—the largest shark to ever live!
  

All activities included with general museum admission. Activities run from 10am-2pm, unless otherwise noted; museum open 10am-4pm.
