Tom Henricks

Astronaut

Tom Henricks is a partner with the Newport Board Group.  The Group provides board directors, executive leaders, and CEO advisors.  Additionally, he is engaged with Corporate Aviation Analysis & Planning, Inc. providing strategic planning and transactional services in business aviation. 

Previously, Tom was president of Aviation Week, the leading information and media business serving the aerospace industry.  He was also an executive at Bell Helicopter, Textron, The Timken Company, and had an exchange assignment with Boeing.

As a NASA astronaut, Henricks flew four Space Shuttle missions as commander/pilot.  He was the only astronaut assigned to Space Shuttle Program management during return to flight following the Challenger accident.

Tom retired from the U.S. Air Force as a colonel having served as a commander, F-16 test pilot, and F-4 fighter pilot.  He is a graduate of the USAF Academy and received a MPA from Golden Gate University.
