Cover TEKS across ALL core disciplines in Johnson City with this exciting joint field trip experience with the Science Mill & Lyndon B. Johnson National Historic Park 

At the Science Mill

- Explore more than 40 interactive, hands-on exhibits on science, technology, engineering, art and math on a self-guided STEAM journey
- Create a 3D augmented reality avatar that will act as a personalized tour guide
- Experience a 20 minute science-themed movie in 3D (optional)
 

At LBJ National Historic Park

- Discover the significance of our 36th President’s legacy in a scavenger hunt of the visitor center exhibits
- Recognize the impact of childhood experience during a guided tour of LBJ’s boyhood home.
- Dive into the history of the Texas Hill Country with a guided tour of the Johnson Settlement including the ecology of the tallgrass prairie ecosystem.*

*In case of inclement weather, a 30-minute NPS film may be substituted.*

Capacity: 50 to 300 Students
Duration:  3 ½ to 4 hours (For groups 250 and larger, we recommend a 4 hour visit.)
Fee: $6 per student, required teachers and chaperones are free (Elementary 5:1 student to teacher ratio.  Middle & High School 10:1 student to teacher ratio. Additional chaperones $7.)
